The Office of the New York Attorney General (OAG) is excited to announce two new ROC Community Partnership events. Organizations that work closely with communities are key partners in the work to break the cycle of structural inequities that continue to perpetuate poverty and other harms across Rochester. The OAG is committed to working with community-based organizations to address these concerns and help Rochester communities thrive. On June 10th, the OAG will be holding two community meeting events:
9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: Introduction to the Office of the New York Attorney General
This event will be comprised of a welcoming presentation on the OAG’s role, authority and limitations, and investigation workflow. This is a repeat of the presentations we gave at the Community Partnership Summit in February 2025 and Report-Back in May 2025 so we encourage new partners or staff who haven’t previously seen this presentation to attend. You are also welcome to attend if you would like a refresher on how to work with us.
3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m: OAG ROC Community Partnership Report Back
The OAG and community partners will present on the progress of our collective efforts on key community priorities, which includes updates on long-term projects and next steps. We will be covering language access, farmworker rights, housing conditions, emergency housing, access to justice in housing court and other topics. There will be a Q&A at the end.
ASL will be available. If you require an accommodation or interpretation to participate in a program, service, or activity of our office, please visit ag.ny.gov/request-an-accommodation, preferably one week before the event.
