Winter Solstice represents the shortest day with the longest night of our year. It is a time when the Sun begins her return, after the darkest of months.
At Newgrange, a shaft of light pierces the darkness at Dawn, lighting the long tunnel and illuminating the hidden chamber within.
So it is for us. With our willingness to confront our own darkness, we will be shown our light.
At a time of year when our ‘seeds’ and ‘roots’ are pushing deep down into the warm winter earth, it is time for us to turn inwards in preparation for the emergence of Spring in the New Year to come.
Come and light a Candle, make a wish for your personal Transformation, Dance the Spiral, and connect with the Wisdom and Intuition of the Crone who Governs this deepest of Cycles.
We will be working with the Power of Bear. As Mother Bear recedes into the womb-like space of her Cave, sitting on the West of the cyclical year, she begins her time of hibernation. Calling into the Great Void within us all, here we will find all the answers to our questions, in Silence and Reverence.
We will be creating our own Bear Shield, to take home with us to remind us of the commitment we make to ourselves, for our renewal and growth, our ability to transmute our own darkness, and to nurture ourselves through the winter months.
Listen to the story of The Crescent Bear, Let Go and Receive from the Sacred Fire.
Throughout our day, there will be pockets of time for you to relax, sleep, chat, or keep yourself in quiet reflection.
We will share our stories, support each other on our paths, and enjoy a day when we will each allow ourselves much needed time and space to ourselves.
Every Red Wolf Circle is about YOU. You are free to make choices that nourish and uplift you, nothing is obligatory except the contract you make with yourself, for this one sacred day, to be JUST AS YOU ARE.
