Pyrography is the art of decorating wood by burning a design into its surface with a heated pyrography tool.

In this workshop you will transform a second-hand piece of furniture using traditional, eco-friendly wood-stripping techniques and the application of freehand pyrography tools and chalk paints, to create your very own unique piece to take home with you*.

The class will give you an essential understanding of how to upcycle and decorate wooden items, which can easily be applied to any of your own projects at home.

Scraping, sanding and painting is strongly involved therefore it is advisable that you wear comfortable clothing, which you don’t mind getting a bit messy.

Federica, the tutor of the pyrography workshop, is an Italian artist specialising in pyrographed artistic furniture which she sells through local retailers and galleries .
