PRS 25TH ANNIVERSARY INVESTIGATION EXPERIENCE: A Two-Event Celebration Across Two Haunted Locations August 2026 | New York & Connecticut

Twenty-five years ago, I started the Paranormal Research Society at Penn State with nothing but a handful of believers, a lot of questions, and an unshakable feeling that something was out there. What followed was a journey I never could have predicted — national television, some of the most unforgettable investigations of my life, and a community of people who made me believe that this work truly matters.

This August, I want to celebrate that journey with you.

We're marking 25 years of PRS with two very special events — each one its own experience, each one connected to the other. Whether you join us for one night or both, you'll be part of something I've been looking forward to for a long time.

EVENT ONE: THE SHANLEY HOTEL Napanoch, New York | Friday, August 21st, 2026

The Shanley Hotel doesn't need much of an introduction. If you've followed PRS for any length of time, you know this place has been on our radar — and for good reason. Few locations in the Northeast carry the kind of energy, history, and sheer paranormal weight that the Shanley does.

This is an intimate night. We're keeping the group small on purpose. You'll join me and the PRS team for a personal meet-and-greet, a lecture, and then a full investigation of one of the most active locations we've ever stepped foot in. No big crowds. No rushing through rooms. Just a close-knit group of people who take this seriously — doing what we do best, together.

If you've been to a PRS event before, you know the difference between a large public event and a night like this. This is the latter.

This is the one I've been thinking about for a while and it's being held at a special location that is dear to me, and close to Lorraine Warren, who was very important and influential in my journey (it is just minutes to Monroe, CT where Ed and Lorraine lived). 

Twenty-five years is a long time. And I want to spend an evening actually talking about it — not just the cases you saw on television, but the full journey. Where it started. What the investigations after the show looked like. The cases that changed me. The moments that scared me most. And honestly, what comes next for PRS.

We're gathering at The Twisted Vine Restaurant for a proper 25th anniversary dinner. You'll sit down with me and the team for a catered dinner and a lecture that I'm putting a lot of thought into — a real look back and look forward. If you've ever wanted to hear the unfiltered version of this story, this is that night.

And then, when dinner is done, we investigate.
