The number one cause of death between the ages of 1-44 is traumatic injury, and the majority of those deaths are due to massive hemorrhaging.
The national average for EMS response time is approximately 9 minutes. In cases where massive hemorrhaging occurs, (i.e., gunshot wounds, stabbings, automobile accidents), a person can bleed to death in 3-4 minutes. With the right training and equipment, you can sustain life until help arrives.
While understanding the basics of first aid are important, being able to go above and beyond is vital in today’s violent, yet extremely uncertain world.
Whether you are brand new to learning first aid or are an experienced medical provider, this course will elevate your ability to treat life threatening injuries. The skills taught in this course will save lives in active shooter events, or even unfortunate incidents at home or on the range. You will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to treat traumatic injuries and save lives. These are the same life saving techniques taught to Special Operations units, but are specifically tailored for addressing civilian emergency situations.
We believe that hands-on experience is key for effective training. During this course you will get your hands dirty with a variety of training aids and realistic scenarios designed to push your limits, expand your skills and abilities, and learn to apply those skills and knowledge under stress.
