Despite the availability in Armenia of buildings from the Soviet era that are best described as Soviet Modernist buildings, and the abundance of books and texts about them, there is a lack of comparison and positioning these buildings in the context of global architectural history, timeline, influence, etc.
Selected participants have picked a pair of buildings and have written a comparative essay. Here is the list of the buildings:
