As the honeymoon phase of the New Year wears off and our “resolutions” have already been pushed to the 2027 folder, we have to ask ourselves: why?
Why don’t our dreams and goals have the same sticking power as time goes by? Why do we map out vision boards, hire life coaches, personal trainers – then still end up with the same results? This year’s Positivity Summit theme points to one of the biggest reasons: Sweat Equity
Sweat Equity is simply defined as the amount of work you’re willing to put in to get what you want.
This May, join us to learn this topic from amazing presenters who are putting the work in – right now, in real time. You’ll leave with tools to get more out of:
Your Team | Yourself | Your dreams and goals
Two decades ago, I was offered my first professional leadership position. I was offered the position of head men’s basketball coach at my alma mater Sussex County Community College. At that time, I had never coached a team before in my life, I had no idea what it truly meant to lead people, and I didn’t have a clue about how impactful culture was regarding the success or failure of a team. In those 6 years at SCCC, I experienced the lowest of lows and the highest of highs. I learned that leadership and culture weren’t a destination but an ever-evolving journey. My professional coaching journey has expanded over 20 years, and I am still searching for how to be a more effective leader daily
