Pistol/Carbine 1.5 is a structured range day designed for shooters who are already familiar with the basics of owning both a handgun and carbine. This course allows shooters who have already taken a basic handgun and carbine course to further refine their skills under instruction. Topics covered include:
Marksmanship fundamentals
Holster draw
Slide-lock and tactical reloads
Immediate and remedial actions
Carbine to pistol transition
Multi-target engagement
Rhythm drills
Working positions
Carbine sight offsets
Expect pistol engagement distance between 3 and 25 yards, and carbine engagement between 3 and 100 yards.
There will be time provided for zero confirmation before the carbine section; however, carbines should arrive zeroed.
The day will be divided roughly evenly between a pistol focus at the beginning of the day, and a carbine focus in the later day.
