Pistol Skills - Intermediate
Cost: $75 A $15 deposit reserves your spot in the class. Balance is due the day of the class by cash only.

Our Pistol Skills - Intermediate class is intended for the armed citizen with a desire to carry a firearm as part of their daily life, and to begin the steps to more advanced training.
This 4-hour class will be conducted and run entirely from a holster, and students should attend using a quality holster setup. The class will focus on the mechanics of drawing a firearm from the holster, and getting it “into the fight” as quickly and safely as possible.
This is not a beginner’s class or a concealed handgun permit class. Students should already have basic handgun knowledge and training. Students who practice unsafe weapons handling will be removed from the class.
Pistol Skills - Intermediate will cover:
· Safety and Medical brief
· Gear and Clothing Considerations
· Drawing and Reholstering
· Reloading
· Malfunction Clearing
· Moving with the Gun Drawn
· Moving to Cover and Concealmen
· Shooting from Cover and Concealment
· Justification for the Use of Deadly Force
Students will need:
· Quality pistol with at least two spare magazines (the more, the better)
· Appropriate outside the waistband holster. Shoulder/Cross-draw & Nylon holsters will not be permitted. Holsters requiring the use of the trigger finger to release the active rention (SERPA style) will not be permitted.
· Method of carrying at least one spare magazine on the body.
· A minimum of 250 rounds of ammunition (300 recommended)
· Eye and ear protection (Electronic hearing protection recommended)
· Sun screen and insect repellent
· Weather-appropriate clothing
· Brimmed hat recommended, but not required.
· Snacks and method of hydration
Students will receive a certificate upon completion. This class meets the requirements in §18.2-308 of the Code of Virginia, for a Concealed Handgun Permit.
