The PGR Showcase is an event where you, PCHN’s PGRs get a chance to present your ongoing research to staff and students in the division. You can do a presentation or a poster, and the best talk and poster will win a prize.
Of course, there will also be free lunch provided and plenty of refreshments to help you get through the day!
This is a friendly opportunity to practice presenting your work, get feedback from others, network, and find out what other people in the division are working on.
How do I participate?
All PGRs are welcome to present their research, irrespective of how far along you are in your project. You can either present a poster or give a talk.
Our guidelines suggest that:
- First-year PGRs: present a poster on any literature or systematic reviews or preliminary analyses they have been working on.
- Second-year PGRs: present a poster on data collected for their ongoing projects
- Third year (or final year) PGRs: give a 5 minute presentation on your project
These are recommendations only - anyone is welcome to present either a poster or a 5 minute presentation.
Members of staff are encouraged to provide feedback on posters and presentations.
