Stratford tube station - Westfield exit (outside the M&S), Stratford Underground Station, , London, E15 1NF, United Kingdom.

The 2012 Olympic Games transformed parts of London and put a global spotlight on the city. We will be running a guided tour of the fantastic Olympic Park, which has recently been refurbished and opened as a public park. Stratford, and much of East London, were industrial areas that have been completely altered by the Olympic Games and its subsequent developments (such as the Westfield shopping centre - one of Europe's largest). This transformation and gentrification has been mirrored throughout London and you can experience the changing face of the city on this tour. You will learn to appreciate another side of the city and understand that the nice and gentrified areas of London where many of you are living weren't always this way.

After the guided tour we will climb the Orbit - the UK's largest sculpture and landmark of the 2012 Games. Recently, they have built a slide on the Orbit structure so we will slide all the way back down on the world's biggest tunnel slide! Don't miss out on this great trip!
