Oak Park Area Little Green Light User Group at Oak Park Regional Housing Center

Please join us for a gathering of Oak Park-area nonprofit organizations who use (or are thinking about using) Little Green Light as their donor management system.  

For many smaller organizations, effective and efficient use of a donor management system is an ongoing challenge.  Little Green Light is a relatively user-friendly system, but some features may seem confusing, or are part of business processes that are new to your organization.  Other features might be things you just don't use every week (or even every month), so it's hard to feel confident using them when you do need them.

The goal of this meeting is to talk about your organization's need for either short-term or long-term support in your use of LGL.  W4Sight is a local independent consulting firm (I'm one of the firm's founding partners and I live in Oak Park) and we are interested in brainstorming with you to identify both topics you want to address, and strategies for providing support that can fit both your needs and your budget.  Please note - we don't have any formal (or financial) relationship with Little Green Light, but we have implemented the software for more than 20 Chicago-area nonprofits in the last couple of years, and we really think it's a great tool!

Possible topics you might be interested in talking about include:

• Data entry and acknowledgements for less-common gift situations (soft credits to spouses, pledges with multiple payments expected, matching gifts from employers, gifts in honor of or in memory of someone, in-kind gifts)
• Integrating with MailChimp or Constant Contact
• Generating appeal letters directly from LGL (possibly to be printed/mailed by an outside printer or mailhouse)
• Managing events in LGL (including selling event tickets through LGL forms)
• Collecting online donations through LGL forms
• Using LGL to track volunteer activity
• Using LGL to manage foundation grants received
• Using LGL to track major donor cultivation/solicitation efforts
• Integrating LGL tasks with your calendar
• Integrating LGL with your email
