Since she was young, Shanon knew she wanted a career in which she could make a difference in the lives of others. After working in hospitals and conducting research for a few years, Shanon realized the true importance of nutrition; she saw the way it changed lives.

She studied Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh and completed her post-graduate Dietetic Internship at the University of Louisiana.

As a fitness and powerlifting competitor,
she took interest in Sports Nutrition. This showed her how the fuel we give ourselves makes all the difference in our daily performance. This “fuel” was more than just food, it was also what we fed our minds. This is why Shanon believes it’s important to approach health from a nutritional and psychological standpoint.
