Licensure Workshop

This workshop will provide education to professionals to develop a deep understanding of state public policy and the legislative process. Concrete strategies will be provided to guide professionals towards success for developing a state licensure bill.
Speaker: Vincent Bonadies, MS, CTRS, is a compassionate and energetic professional who seeks to promote wellness through active and healthy living opportunities in a changing healthcare environment. He holds a MS and BA in Therapeutic Recreation. He helps lead efforts for NY state licensure for RT and has served on ATRA’s board of directors.
Upon completion of this workshop learners will:
1. Be able to identify possible solutions to 3 challenges facing a state licensure committee.
2. Be able to identify 3 or more strategies to gain support from recreation therapists & other allied health professionals and organizations for state licensure.
3. Be able to design and implement a detailed action plan outlining the steps towards drafting a licensure bill.

Registration for this workshop will be limited to the first 30 registrants.
Registration will close on May 11th. One application must be completed for each individual attending the conference. On-Site Registration will NOT be available for this event. Company P.O.s from facility must be paid in full by conference date (you may bring payment) or you MAY NOT attend the conference.
Continuing Education Units: Sessions are subject to change. CEUs are pending approval through the American Therapeutic Recreation Association. ATRA has been reviewed and approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training. There is no additional fee for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for professionals.
Refund Policy: All fees are non-refundable after May 11, 2016.
