Our annual dinner, first held in 2017, brings established and aspiring writers together to celebrate and inspire each other. Our 2026 dinner includes a cocktail hour, raffles, a celebration of past and new grantees, and a keynote address by Jennifer Givhan, a Mexican American and Indigenous poet and novelist. Givhan will be in conversation with Diné fiction writer and poet Cynthia J. Sylvester.
We hope that you will consider adding a donation to assist writers who may need financial support to attend the event. Your tax-deductible donation will be used to create a set of reduced-price tickets that will be distributed to these writers. You will find a place to add your donation "So Others May Attend" at the bottom of the page.
The annual dinner remains solely a networking event and a celebration of the literary arts in New Mexico. The price of the dinner ticket represents the total cost of NM Writers putting on this event.
