Education Outreach CoordinatorNJ Center for Tourette Syndrome & Associated Disorders, Inc.The presentation will describe the symptoms, possible causes, diagnosis, and treatments for Tourette Syndrome, and will discuss its associated disorders (ADHD, OCD, learning disabilities, anxiety, etc.). It will also review important strategies and accommodations. As many as 1 in 100 kids show signs of Tourette Syndrome – most of them undiagnosed, misdiagnosed and/or misunderstood. In addition, almost 90% of individuals with Tourette Syndrome are diagnosed with at least one additional mental health, behavioral or developmental disorder (ADHD, OCD, anxiety, etc.). Having the correct information and strategies can make a significant difference in the life of an individual and their family.
