Nanny Camp 2025: Where Every Nanny Belongs and Joy Takes Root
Labor Day Weekend 2025 | SJ Riding Camp, Connecticut
After the incredible success of Nanny Camp 2024, we are thrilled to welcome you to Nanny Camp 2025—a space intentionally designed for every heart, every spirit, and every nanny. This weekend, August 29 - September 1, 2025, we invite you to leave behind the hustle of daily life and immerse yourself in a community built on belonging, joy, and connection. Whether you’re a returning camper or joining us for the first time, this is your place.
A Place for Every Nanny
At Nanny Camp, we believe there’s a space for everyone—the dreamers, the creatives, the caregivers, and the ones who’ve never quite felt like they belonged. This camp is where joy takes root, friendships bloom, and connection flows effortlessly. Inspired by the magic of last year’s camp, we’ve created a weekend where you can show up just as you are and be celebrated for everything that makes you, YOU.
Building on the Magic of 2024
The magic of Nanny Camp 2024 was contagious—friendships formed over karaoke, crafts that sparked creativity, and meaningful conversations around the fire. The diversity of campers made the experience truly special, filling camp with love, acceptance, and a sense of belonging for everyone.
For 2025, we’re bringing back the best of what worked: the craft house, campfire conversations, sensory-friendly spaces, and community-led activities. Expect the same playful energy, amplified with new adventures, expanded workshops, and even more space to relax, recharge, and reconnect with yourself and others.
What to Expect at Nanny Camp 2025
Activities for Every Heart and Soul: Whether it’s kayaking, archery, crafts, or storytelling around the campfire, there’s something for everyone. We’re adding more lakefront time and new ways to explore nature this year.
Workshops for Growth and Discovery: Engage in workshops led by peers and experts that spark creativity, curiosity, and personal growth.
Space for Quiet Moments: Our sensory-friendly zones and nap tents will be expanded, with more hammocks and peaceful spaces to unwind whenever you need a break.
The Craft House: Always Open: Stop by anytime to get creative on your own or with others—friendship bracelets were a hit last year, and we’re bringing them back along with new craft projects.
Celebrate Your Worth and Find Connection
At Nanny Camp, there are no to-do lists, no schedules to manage—just time to celebrate yourself and connect with others who truly understand the joys and challenges of caregiving. Every element of this weekend is designed to nurture your spirit and help you reconnect with what makes you special.
You spend your days curating joy for others—now it’s time for us to curate joy just for YOU.

Land Acknowledgment:
As we gather for Nanny Camp 2025 at SJ Riding Camp in Ellington, Connecticut, we acknowledge that this land has a deep and enduring connection with the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded it for centuries. This area is the traditional, ancestral homeland of the Podunk and Wangunk tribes, who are part of the Algonquian-speaking peoples.
The Podunk and Wangunk communities lived along the fertile banks of the Connecticut River, practicing sustainable agriculture, hunting, and fishing, and maintained a harmonious relationship with the land, water, and natural resources. Their legacy of environmental stewardship and community care continues to inspire us.
We honor their past and present descendants and express our gratitude for the privilege to gather, learn, and connect on these lands. We commit to respecting the ongoing relationship between Indigenous peoples and the land, and we recognize the history and culture that have shaped this region.
As we enjoy this beautiful space, we encourage everyone to reflect on the significance of this land and our responsibility to honor its past, present, and future caretakers.
