Museum of the Future - Technical Talk

IStructE Regional Young members Group is inviting you to an online Technical Talk by Mr. Christopher Wodzicki about the Museum of the Future.

The Museum of the Future is a cultural and innovation museum located adjacent to the astonishing Emirates Towers in Dubai. The project’s client is Dubai Future Foundation and the lead consultant is BuroHappold Engineering. The museum, designed by Killa Design, will be an inspiring destination for designers, entrepreneurs and inventors to present their creativity, inventiveness and vision of the future.

The museum’s futuristic shape depicts the extent of knowledge currently known to mankind with the elliptical void representing the potential for exploration and innovation in the future. The 7-storey structure, built on a green hill that seamlessly elevates it from its surroundings, will house 6 exhibition floors and a 3-storey podium.  

The presentation will explore the design of the Museum of the Future and the innovative engineering principles employed in its construction, as well as the computational design undertook for the structure. The architecture and the inspiration behind the unique shape of this LEED Platinum building will also be discussed.
