About Dana Dose, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition, and Certified Lactation Counselor of The Family Nutrition Pro:
I work with parents not only in helping their children but also in discovering what legacy you are bringing “to the table” when feeding your children, to help you be the best food role model you can be.
My brand new online resource, called the Nourished Foundations Community, provides self-paced courses, live and recorded Q&A calls, and a peer chat board to help parents nourish their infants, toddlers, and preschool age children: safely, completely, and in a way that helps them develop a positive and joyful relationship with food, from the start.
I also provide 1:1 nutrition therapy. For parents of infants and toddlers who need more support than the online community, I provide supplemental individualized care for general nutrition, and I also work through any new medical diagnoses and concerns that impact the child's nutrition status. For parents of older children (and adolescents, themselves), we address whatever nutrition issues have come up throughout their lives, including their clinical medical nutrition needs.
Rooted in my 16 years of experience and overcoming my own past personal food struggles, I use a holistic, trauma-informed, weight-inclusive approach. I focus more on which foods will provide more valuable nutrients rather than focusing on what my clients should restrict, and I counsel on responsive, mindful, and intuitive eating practices. These principles are woven through every resource I create, class I teach, and individual session I conduct.
