Your Compensation Strategy is a key thread throughout the entire acquisition lifecycle. It should weave together the nature of the deal, the culture of the new entity and the compensation philosophy of the acquirer. There is no singular compensation strategy; one size does not fit all. HR M & A Leaders are required to tailor their strategy for each deal, while incorporating their key guiding principles.

How long does integration last? It’s a straightforward question, but there is no easy answer. In fact, this question can’t be answered without defining what we mean by integration. If “integration” means the set of activities that the integration team is responsible for, then integration duration is typically a few months after deal close. Integration plans are usually framed as 60-90-180 day “sprints”, with a clear hand-off to “the business” at the end of that period. When you join this session to learn how to apply a value creation lens to integration, explore crucial deal stages to maximize value, and leave with models that you can apply to future deals.
