Miss Cardinal State

From Oprah to Halle Berry to Diane Sawyer, the list of successful women who got their start as pageant queens is impressive.

We are looking for young confident, fun, and classy young ladies with lots of personality and poise so that we can crown Ohio's "Miss Cardinal State"!

Join us on Sunday August 21st for our fundraiser to benefit Susan G. Komen, Northwest Ohio! We will be crowing five promising young ladies ages 4-27 in our "Miss Cardinal State" pageant.

COMPETITIONS START at 12:30 and go througout the day.

CROWING CEREMONY is a ticketed event and starts at 7:30 PM.

This exciting event is also a preliminary pageant for Ohio's Miss Teen USA and Miss USA pageants in November.

Our Teen and Miss queens will have their entries paid for in order to go forward and compete at Ohio's Miss Teen USA and Miss USA pageants in November (travel and accommodations not included.)

There are five divisions for Miss Cardinal State!

-Little Miss (ages 4-7)

-Jr. Pre-Teen (ages 8-10)

-Pre-Teen (ages 11-13)

-Teen (ages 14-18)

-Miss (ages 18 - 27)

ALL AGES SHOULD BE BASED ON AGE AS OF February 1, 2016

***AGES of all ladies crowned will be verified. Any discovery of false information will result in disqualification and titles/crowns/prizes being surrendered. PLEASE make sure you register under the correct age!

REQUIRED CLOTHING FOR CONTESTANTS:

1) Formal Wear ***TEEN AND MISS must be full length. All other divisions, length is optional, however dress must be formal.

2) Casual ***Miss Cardinal State official t-shirt, jean shorts or jean skirt, white tennis shoes, white socks. 

3) Interview ***Dress how you would for a job or school entrance interview.

REGISTRATION FEES:

-Early Bird Discunts before July 5 ($100, for pageant only and $135 for pageant plus two optional entries)

-Register between July 6-August 12 ($165 pageant only and $195 includes three optional entries)

-Optional entries are NOT required and can be added at any time before August 12

-All contestants MUST order an official "Miss Cardinal State" tshirt before August 12

SCORING FOR THE CROWING WILL BE BASED ON FOUR AREAS:

1) Poise and walking in formal wear

2) Confidence, personality, poise and delivery during personal introduction (20 seconds max!). Each contestant should prepare a brief introduction with name, hometown, and something about themselves that makes them feel special about themselves.

3) Confidence, personality, and poise during personal interview.

4) Overall appearance (NOT based on LOOKS but presentation!)

RULES

Contestant must be a naturally born female in order to compete in the Miss Cardinal State Pageant.

Contestant must reside within the State of Ohio in the United States in order to compete in the Miss Cardinal State Pageant.

Contestant MUST compete in the correct division for her age group (as of February 1, 2016) and must not be married and/or have given birth to a child.

Contestant understands that ALL ENTRY FEES and TSHIRT order must be paid for by August 12th in order to compete. No refunds on partial payments will be given.

Contestant understands that the ENTRY FEE is non-refundable and non-transferrable. 

Contestant understands that the winning queens and/or optional entry winners will receive their crowns, sashes, trophies and/or certificates during the pageant ceremony, however all cash awards will be mailed within 30-60 days AFTER receipt of age verifications.

Contestant understands that she must compete be scored in ALL THREE areas of competition in order to be selected as a winner. These areas include: formal wear, introduction, and interview.

Contestant understands that OPTIONAL entries are scored and awarded separately from the main pageant with separate judges and these outcomes bear no weight on the crowning.

Contestant understands that she must uphold a pleasant, professional, and friendly demeanor at all times during pageant weekend and also while representing a pageant title should she win.

Contestant understands that the judges' decisions and scoring are subjective and final and will not be changed. Judges may NOT be contacted or questioned regarding scoring.

If the Contestant becomes a pageant title winner, she understands that she will opportunities for appearances throughout the year of reign and this will include an appearance at the Susan G. Komen walk in her nearest participating city.

Winner grants permission to the Miss Cardinal State and its affiliates to use her image in pageant related media for advertising and promotional purposes and understands that such pageant materials will become the property of Miss Cardinal State and/or P. Marie Talent.

Contestant understands that Miss Cardinal State reserves the right to add, change, or delete any rules and regulations at any time.

Contestant is required to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of Miss Cardinal State; and if any of these rules are broken by the Contestant, Contestant understands that participation disqualification and title revocation will be the resulting resolution to the matter.

By registering for this pageant, I certify that I have read and understand the refund policy and I understand that no refunds shall be given unless in the unlikely event that the pageant is cancelled.

By registering to participate in this pageant, I also agree to abide by to be bound by moral and ethical standards in how I conduct myself in public and including on social media.

I will also hold harmless the Miss Cardinal State Pageant system, Proctor Productions, Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio and their associates connected with this pageant, for any injury, loss or accident in connection with pageant related activities during or after the pageant, if I choose to become involved in the events thought the year.

I further permit any photos or videos/DVD’s of me and/or my child to be used for publicity and promotional purposes.

By registering, it is also understood that I will never commit or obligate the use of any title awarded for any activity without notification and expressed approval of the pageant director.

I understand that by registering to compete in the Miss Cardinal State Pageant I have read and agree to all of the above terms and conditions.
