The Mindfulness Training for NHS Staff, we offer should provide an excellent foundation for understanding and practising mindfulness in a direct practical way, both within a group setting during the weekly sessions and at home by oneself. The Course is tailored to help participants, integrate mindfulness and kindness based approaches into their workplace. The knowledge and experience gained on the course should help the participants to cultivate a different kind of relationship with themselves and others and enhance their experience of living and simply being. Our courses will help you to systematically develop the skill of being present with your experience. The training aims to assist you in dealing with what can be challenging for you and helps you to take better care of yourself and get the most out of your life. The majority of people completing this programme report lasting physical and psychological benefits including:

  • greater energy and enthusiasm for life
  • heightened self-confidence
  • an increased ability to cope more effectively with challenging situations.

The course consists of 

  • 8 weekly sessions of two and a half hours, 
  • Saturday All Day Session (11am to 4pm), 
  • Mindful communication, 
  • Regular mindfulness practice and 
  • Course Manual and 
  • Guided Meditations for Home practice.

Course Dates Jan 2017 - Mar 2017:
Session I on 12th January, (Start Date)
Session II on 19th January,
Session III on 26th January,
Session IV on 2nd February,
Session V on 9th February, (attending day retreat after this week)
Session VI on 16th February,
Session VII on 23rd February and
Session VIII on 2nd March (End Date)

Timings: 6pm to 8.30pm

Venue: Astley Ainslie Hospital, SCHOOL (Brian Pentland Education Unit),133 Grange Loan,  EH9 2HL, Edinburgh

Full Cost: £250 (£50 deposit to confirm your place) Note: There is 25% discount for our previous participants who have engaged in same eight week course earlier.

Day Retreats in Edinburgh are offered on the fourth Saturday of each month from 11am to 4pm and we suggest that you attend the retreat after week 5 or week 6 of the course.
