The Medicine Insights Course is a comprehensive two-day programme designed specifically for sixth form students (16+) considering a career in medicine. The course provides realistic, practical insight into the profession while equipping students with the knowledge, skills and experiences to strengthen their UCAS applications, prepare confidently for interviews and MMIs.


With small groups (maximum 15 per group), this is an interactive personalised experience ensuring high quality engagement, meaningful discussion and individual feedback.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will:
  • Gain authentic insight into life as a medical student and doctor 
  • Develop core skills required for studying and practicing medicine 
  • Understand key themes in modern healthcare (ethics, frailty, end-of-life care, teamwork)
  • Experience realistic communication scenarios
  • Improve confidence in interviews and Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs)
  • Strengthen their UCAS personal statement with meaningful reflection points 

Additional Information

  • Lunch will be included for both training days. 
  • Students will receive arrival information, a timetable and any relevant course materials ahead of the course start date.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be requested in writing via email to enquiries@pcwa.co.uk. The date the cancellation request is received will determine any applicable refund.
  • Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the course date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days prior to the course date will receive a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the course date are non-refundable.
Non-attendance on the day of the course is non-refundable.

In the unlikely event that the course is cancelled or postponed by the provider, delegates will be offered either:
  1. a full refund; or
  2. the option to transfer to an alternative course date where available.

Please allow 10-14 business days for the funds to appear in your account.

The provider reserves the right to make reasonable changes to course content, trainers, timings or venue where necessary.
