In March the Milky Way rises very early above the eastern horizon making a perfect arch over many of the iconic arches and monuments in Arches National Park.
You will capture awe inspiring images of such sites like The North Window, Double Arch, Turret Arch, Balanced Rock, The Three Gossips, Double Arch and The Mittens. Unique lamps will be used to accent light these arches and monuments which will make stunning images throughout the workshop.
On the day we travel to Monument Valley to photograph the Milky Way over the Mittens, we will stop at the infamous "House On Fire" as a bonus to the workshop.
The workshop guide will conduct Milky Way Photoshop post processing sessions which will take your landscape and Milky Way photos to the next level with captivating results.

"BOOK THIS TOUR NOW! " While keeping changing light, weather conditions and safety on the forefront of their minds at all times, Jerry provided rare vantage points in both of the parks that would not be encountered by a novice visitor to Canyonlands National Park or Arches National Park. Technique, equipment and composition discussions fueled my creative focus during this 4-day photographic workshop. Opportunities to shoot the parks during key early morning and evening hours were provided daily, with unbelievable captures of the night sky and Milky Way available to those of us who were interested in venturing out during the night sky tutorials. As a highly experienced photographer, I felt I gained a wealth of knowledge that I will continue to use in expanding my personal portfolio and I am thrilled my captures from this workshop have already been requested by the fine art galleries that represent my work throughout the southwest and Colorado. I look forward to attending another workshop led by Jerry in the future!

Just returned from a fabulous Milky Way workshop around Moab, UT. I highly recommend it to both inexperienced as well as experienced photographers...and, all shapes and sizes. Jerry bends over backwards to be sure everyone is attended to....he knows Arches and Canyonlands inside and out and chooses locations that are both inspiring and easy to access. Experienced photographers will love the light painting which adds dimension to your images...beginners..Jerry is there to help with your settings and to be sure you leave with photos you will love and share.

Attending the workshop with Jerry Patterson was awesome. I had wanted to hit Arches National Park but didn't necessarily want to do it alone. It saves so much time to shoot at a National Park with someone who knows the spots. He took us to all of the key locations at all the right times (sunset, star photography and sunrise). He kept us on the go so that absolutely no time was wasted and we were able to get at least a weeks worth of shooting in a couple of days. He had a bunch of different light elements for light painting. Not only did I get all the shots I wanted, but I made some great new photography friends and we had a blast! Jerry is down to earth and funny which sets the tone for the group. I plan to go along for Glacier and Tetons!
Let the excitement begin !
