Five out of every ten women will experience some form of traumatic event in their lifetime. Did you know, as the number of traumatic events experienced during childhood increases, the risk for the following health problems in adulthood increases: depression; alcoholism; drug abuse; suicide attempts; heart and liver diseases; pregnancy problems; high stress; uncontrollable anger; and family, financial, and job problems?
The Fellowship of Faith Church (The SHIP) is located at 3711 West Orem, Houston, Texas 77045. The SHIP was established in 2010, under the leadership of Pastor David Charles Burkley. The SHIP is a strongly committed to worship, teaching biblical instruction, building genuine relationships and making a positive impact on the community. The Lotus Women’s Ministry’s, established under the umbrella of the Fellowship of Faith Church, is dedicated to helping to address the many problems that are facing women today. We desire to address their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. The vision of Lotus Women’s Ministry was birthed from captivating lotus flower. The lotus flower grows and rises from the mud. The deeper the mud the more beautiful the lotus blooms. We believe that no matter what muck and mire a woman has experienced in her life and despite any undesirable condition of her past, God still has a plan for each woman and still sees her as beautiful.
The Lotus Women’s Ministry will be hosting their first Mother’s Day Weekend Retreat on May 11-May 12, 2018. May 11th, 5pm-11pm and May 12th, 8 am-12 pm. Our goal is that every woman will leave emotionally encouraged, tangibly blessed and spiritually stimulated.
The retreat will include Worship, devotion, massages, facials, make-overs, a prayer breakfast, vendors, workshops and awesome prizes.
