Deposition Skills Program
The United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island, in partnership with the Roger Williams University School of Law and the Rhode Island Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, is proud to announce its comprehensive hands-on deposition skills training program.
This program will provide hands-on training in deposition skills and will take place from May 20th to 22nd, 2025. The course will be an intensive three-day program to be held at the Federal Courthouse in Providence, Rhode Island. The faculty teaching the program will include federal and state judges, Roger Williams Law School faculty, and experienced Rhode Island trial lawyers. This program offers 14 CLE credits, including 1 ethics credit. Registration will close when the program is full, so interested attorneys should apply as soon as possible.
The schedule for the program is as follows:
Tuesday, May 20: 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Lectures and Workshops.
Wednesday, May 21: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lectures and Workshops - Lunch will be provided. 4:00 p.m. Reception in Jury Assembly.
Thursday, May 22: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Lecture and Workshop - Lunch will be provided.
The cost of the program is $500.00 (including course materials).
Partial scholarships are available to lawyers of all backgrounds who require financial assistance.
If you would like to apply for scholarship funding, please first contact the FBA at mwaring@cck-law.com with a brief description of the nature of your law practice and a request to be considered for a scholarship. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be provided with a special code which should be used when you register for the program.
