Join us for the second session in our breakfast series, Liquid Courage, held at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Throughout the series, hear from policymakers, water managers, farmers and ranchers, and community voices working on the frontier of water innovation. Each session goes beyond cataloging a crisis to focus on creative and courageous responses to our water issues while being honest about what they will require.
Agriculture accounts for the majority of water use in the West, which also means it represents the largest opportunity for water conservation. As demand across the region continues to outstrip what our rivers can reliably provide, how agriculture adapts will shape the future of farming and ranching, and our rural communities. Session 2: Agriculture examines where innovations are emerging within the agricultural community itself, from crop switching to producer-led conservation. These approaches push back against the assumption that agriculture and conservation are necessarily at odds, and raise the harder question of what it will take to scale these solutions across the region.
