The Level 2 Award in Youth Work Principles is an introductory accredited youth work qualification that builds confidence and skills in all those working with young people. This qualification is an ideal way to ensure all those working with young people have the basics to ensure safe and effective practice.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand the key principles of youth work good practice.
- Be more aware of how to support young people effectively.
- Have increased knowledge of the importance of safeguarding, boundaries, confidentiality and information sharing.
- Be more confident in how a young person’s development and how this can affect how we work with young people.
Who: Those working directly with young people and have some experience of youth work. Delegates must currently be working with young people aged 11 and above at least once a week as well as being able to provide a supervisor within their Football Club Charity that is JNC (Joint Negotiating Committee) qualified or equivalent. Supervisors will be required to attend a one-off training session and provide ongoing support (dates for that supervisor session on the following page).
