This is a two-day leadership workshop for new or aspiring supervisors, or others who want/need a touchup.
What You'll Learn
This workshop teaches what good leaders must be, know and do and helps new and aspiring leaders acquire foundational skills needed to maintain a mission-driven culture of accountability, high morale and proper performance. The program teaches emotional intelligence, methods and tools of inspiration and motivation, and how to build trust. Good leadership is a combination of competence and character, so the program identifies and stresses the characteristics of good leaders and the competencies needed to actually lead successfully.
One need not be charismatic to be a good leader, but is necessary to be a good communicator - so communication skills are taught and exercised in this workshop, including the art and science of constructive confrontation and other difficult, but crucial, conversations. Good leaders must also be good followers - so the need for good followship is explained and illustrated in terms of proper organizational function. The path forward as a leader is true north - the deliberate practice of professional supervision and leadership. This workshop marks and illuminates that path.
