Kid’s Nutrition Workshop

Growing minds & bodies need proper nourishment! This interactive workshop is targeted for Leicester-area families with children ages 10 and younger. Together we will prepare a delicious & nutritious lunch to enjoy, using fresh ingredients from local farms. Participants will be provided with seasonal produce and recipes, plus seeds to grow fruits & veggies at home! This event will be bilingual, offering Spanish-English content and language integrated learning.
We will have different stations for groups to rotate between, with different children’s activities teaching easy, hands-on food preparation while learning about plants & nutrition.

This is the third of the Leicester Food Coalition's Community Resiliency Food Preparation and Preservation Workshop Series. These workshops are led by local experts, using local produce to support regional farms, and designed to set up the participants for continued success at a home and community level.

This event is free to attend, but space is limited. If you sign-up then please make a stong commitment to attending. Please only sign up if you consider yourself a Leicester area resident (Alexander, Leicester, Newfound, Dix Creek, Sandy Mush).
