Financial literacy is important for everyone, especially for educators. Teachers need to feel confident when passing on knowledge to students. Personal finance lessons represent great ways to show students real-life applications of standards taught in math, economics, social studies, and beyond.

In this workshop, you will learn important lessons that will empower you to understand your own finances. You'll also learn pedagogy and lessons that will help you to bring your knowledge to your students.

This is the second workshop in a two-workshop series. You are encouraged, but not required, to attend both. This event is on Thursday, March 9. The first in the series is earlier in the week, Tuesday, March 7. BOTH workshops will be held at Fidelity Investment’s Jacksonville Branch in the Deerwood area.

Teachers who attend only one of the two workshops will receive a $100 stipend and a copy of both Financial Fitness for Life and a copy of Financial Freedom. Teachers who attend both seminars will be awarded a $200 stipend and a copy of both Financial Fitness for Life and Financial Freedom.

Space is limited so sign up soon!

Here is the web address to the first workshop in this two-part series. You must register for each event separately.
