This Joint Injection Course is currently open for registration to General Practitioners (GPs). We are actively reviewing the scope of eligibility and exploring how best to include other healthcare professionals, whose roles may benefit from this training. Our aim is to ensure the course is both clinically relevant and appropriately tailored to participants' professional needs. We hope to broaden access in the near future and appreciate your understanding as we work through this process.
This practical course is aimed at clinicians looking to build confidence and competence in joint and soft tissue injections. It covers key anatomical areas (knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, wrist, hand), clinical examination and landmarking, and explores treatment options, counselling, and consent.
Participants will learn about indications, contraindications, side effects, drug choices, local anaesthetics, and equipment. The course also includes guidance on injection technique, skin preparation, aftercare, and expected healing times—combining theory with hands-on practice for real-world application.
