5-Day ISO 22000 Lead Auditor Course –
ISO 22000:2018 provides industry with a useful guide for managing and reducing the risks to health resulting from food-based operations. The potential benefits to an organization of implementing a FSMS are:
a) the ability to consistently provide safe foods and products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements;
b) addressing risks associated with its objectives;
c) the ability to demonstrate conformity to specified FSMS requirements.
This standard employs the process approach, which incorporates the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle and risk-based thinking.

To gain an in-depth and practical understanding of the ISO 22000 audit requirements, with particular reference to audit management and consistent report writing
Course Objectives of Lead Auditor Training Course – Food Safety Management System
· Explain the purpose of a food safety management system, of food safety management systems standards and the business benefits of the improved performance of the food safety management system
· Explain the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up a food safety management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011 (and ISO 22003 including ISO 17021 as applicable
· Plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit of a food safety management system to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 22000, or acceptable equivalent, and in accordance with ISO 19011 (and ISO 22003 including ISO 17021 as applicable
· Explain the purpose of a food safety management system and the business benefits of improving food safety management system performance.
· Explain the PDCA cycle and its application to food safety management processes
· Outline the processes involved in establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, measuring, analysing, evaluating, reviewing, maintaining and improving a food safety management system, including the significance of these for FSMS auditors.
· Explain the relationship between the prerequisite programmes specified in ISO/TS 22002 and ISO 22000
· Explain the benefits of third-party accredited certification of food safety management systems for organisations and interested parties

Prerequisites:
Each attendee must have sufficient knowledge of FSSC 22000 requirements before attending this course.
Attending Timing & Timings
5 days including a 2 hour examination on the final day. The course will begin at 8.30 A.M. and will go up to 6.00 P.M. on the first four days and from 8.30 A.M. to 6.00 P.M. on the last day. On last day of the course, there will be 2 hours written examination.
Certifications
A certificate of successful completion of the course will be issued to those participants who satisfactorily complete the continuous assessment and written examination. However, participants who do not qualify either in continuous assessment or the written examination will be given certificate of attendance only.
