IronLife And Florida Sumo Presents The Iron Belly Sumo competition.

Iron Belly Sumo Tournament! Florida Sumo and IronLife Athletics presents the first official Sumo Wrestling competition ever held in Florida! This event will he fully sanctioned by the United States Sumo Federation (USSF). Sumo Wrestling is a competitive, full-contact wrestling style in which a rikishi (wrestler) will try to force their opponent out of the ring (dohyo). A wrestler may also secure a victory by getting his/her opponent to touch the ground with any part of the body other than the soles of the feet. This may include shoving, throwing or a specialized type of open-hand strikes. Join us at Ironlife Athletics for this historic event! This may be the first Sumo tournament in Florida, but Sumo is in fact one of the world's oldest sports. We are inviting you to come test your might and prove your skill at the Iron Belly Sumo Tournament! **USSF membership is REQUIRED to compete** Weigh-ins- 8/26 & 8/27, 10-1pm, and 4:30-7pm. 8/28 10-11am Rules/Safety Briefing- 11am

Men's: 85, 100, 115, 115+.
Women's: 65, 73, 80, 80+


Entry Fee: EARLY BIRD $25 until 8/1/21
Then entry will go to $35
