Eagles nest park, 5165, Orlando, FL, 32811, United States.

This is a  two day event being held at beautiful  Eagle Nest Park in Orlando florida .

Blending Highland games Athletics , Grip and Strongman events into one Show .

Competitors will compete on saturday the 12th or sunday the 13th depending on what  class they are in for the event .

We did this to stretch out divisions to keep everyone as safe as possible while having as much fun as possible.

Also for those  wanting to learn and pick up experience with different kinds of events .

Six events .

We ask that all Competitors  wear a kilt while throwing ,

Each competitor will be allowed three throws in the competition, the farthest LEGAL throw will count for that event.

The shot must be released above the height of the shoulder, using only one hand. The athlete may touch the inside surface of the toe board, but must not touch the top or outside of the toe board, or the ground beyond the square . Limbs may, however, extend over the lines of the circle in the air.

stone weight 12lbs - 20lbs .

Dinnie Rings

Competitors can  step over the implements (Jefferson Deadlift) style  or between the two implements .

Pick up the implements hold till failure

note that one implement will be heavier than the other

Ordinary chalk (magnesium carbonate) may be used on the lifter's hand, but
nothing else is permitted (tacky, for example, is specifically disallowed).

The weight over the bar, or weight throw for height,  The weight is thrown one-handed over a bar set at increasing heights above the thrower.

Three attempts at the rising bar height ,if you fail that height 3 times you are out  .

 28lbs for women

56lbs for men.

Caber toss

Each competitor will be allowed three throws in the competition, the farthest LEGAL throw will count for that event.

  • If the judge yells “get out” or “drop the caber”, than the competitor should follow the judges instruction.
  • The judge will explain the best way to get out from underneath the caber

The “clock face method” of judging shall be used. The caber in a perfect toss will pass through the vertical position and land with the small end pointing directly at 12 o’clock in an imaginary straight line extending from the competitor through the initial landing point and in line with the direction of the run. Example picture in the photo gallery .

Turning the caber is as about proving you can handle the caber (direction of the run) and more so about the accuracy of the turn.  Braemaring the caber should not be allowed as the athlete has not proven he can handle the caber.  IT is tradition.

Exacalibur Deadlift

https://www.oddehaugen.com/armlifting-usa-membership-form/

The lifter grabs the handle and lifts with the handle remaining approximately
perpendicular to the ground. A thumbless grip is not permitted.

The lifter must fully straighten up (back erect, legs and hips locked out); once
standing straight, the lifter must maintain control of the lift for 1 second before
getting a down signal from the chief referee, and must then return the weight
to the ground. Contact must be maintained between the lifter's hand and the
handle until the weight is resting on the floor. The referee then indicates
whether the lift was passed or not.

If lifter fails to complete a lift, the lifter has no further
attempts.Ordinary chalk (magnesium carbonate) may be used on the lifter's hand, butnothing else is permitted (tacky, for example, is specifically disallowed).
