 This two day class teaches patrol officers, investigators, probation officers,  prosecutors, child advocates and DCS workers:

 Introduction to Victims and Offenders—Basic understanding of behavioral   patterns of both suspects and victims.  

 Legal—The Arizona statutes involving endangered, trafficked, abused, exploited and missing children.

 Working with Children—Questions a patrol officer can ask a child during a traffic stop using a victim-centered approach and based on the child’s chronological and developmental age that will help the officer determine if the child is endangered.

 Indicators—The signs officers should look for during a traffic stop and what those signs mean to determine if a child is endangered or if an adult is a high risk threat to children.

 Victim Services— The resources available and courses of action to take when encountering an endangered child.

 Child Welfare—The role of the Department of Child Safety in helping endangered children; when they should be called and what to expect.

 Fusion Center—The role of the ACTIC in sharing intelligence on endangered children and high risk threats to children.
