This 4 to 8-hour course is designed to introduce and reinforce passenger assistance techniques in a community transportation setting.
Topics covered include: Communication, Customer Service and Conflict Resolution; Understanding the Needs of Your Riders; Person First Perspective; Assisting Persons with Mobility Differences in a Variety of Scenarios, Americans with Disabilities Act, Hands on Wheelchair Securement Practice (for those taking Best Ride WITH Securement)
If you are not currently driving a ramp or lift equipped vehicle, you should register for a Best Ride Only ( No Securement) seat. These seats release early at 1:00 PM.
