The law enforcement profession is under tremendous pressure to improve officer-citizen contact outcomes. From hiring to firing, focus on human relations and interpersonal communication is an important step forward and the start of a fix. The program will identify specific individual and organizational initiatives for promoting interpersonal communication proficiencies, emotion and conflict management methods, and officer accountability. Assurance of individual officer integrity, compassion, empathy, open mindedness, tolerance, emotional intelligence and conflict management skills are key.
