Improving botanists
Students can partake in this workshop at a reduced rate of €20. This requires that a student be prepared to show an student identification card upon request.

This is a hands-on workshop where you will pick up skills needed to identify aquatic macrophyte species that many find challenging. These include vascular plant groups such as the pondweeds and starworts (among others) and a selection of bryophytes. Following an introduction to aquatic plants, their adaptations and identification, there will be an opportunity to examine and identify a collection of live specimens. In the afternoon, there will be visit to the River Nore, where participants can practice their identification skills and surveying techniques.
