CMS has announced the 2018 ICD-10-CM codes that are to be used for discharges occurring from Oct. 1st, 2017 through Sept 30th, 2018, and for patient encounters occurring from Oct. 1st, 2017 through Sept. 30th, 2018. CMS also has provided information regarding the general equivalence mappings (GEMs). There are approximately 363 new codes, 142 deleted codes, and more than 250 revisions for the update this year and some of the revisions were not in the 2018 proposal but were added to the 2018 release. · Cardiology Specific impact to ICD-10-CM code changes will be presented at this Webinar.
