Lincoln-Douglas is often a confusing amalgamation of fallacies, exceptional claims, and incomprehensible arguments. Even when you've mastered the basics, persuading a judge to move their bias from one point to another is an advanced tactic that many advanced debaters see as insurmountable.
Giving a speech can be daunting. Even once you move past the initial fear and get to an advanced level, it becomes increasingly difficult to differentiate yourself from the similarly talented competition.
It doesn't have to be this way.
Join the highest-ranked speaker and debater in the nation, Drew Magness, and experienced LD coach Rene Schiltz for three days of intense learning. We'll unpack the keys to LD and speech and discover how regardless of your experience level, you can create elegantly simple cases containing lethal argumentation and communicate with the power of a master orator.
We'll unpack the 8 elements of effective speaking, the keys to differentiation in limited prep, unlocking your speaker persona, how to run values that get the job done, the secret to minimizing confusion, running applications that matter, cross-ex like a lawyer, turning bias to your favor, advanced LD impact calculus, Kanye's lessons in rhetoric, the argument map, debating in the 3rd dimension, and so much more.
If you just started or just won nationals, Drew and Rene can help you move forward in your pursuit of excellence.
Let's make your next season, your best season.
