Haida Gwaii- Wheelchair Basketball Basics and more

Event Description

Come join us to learn the basics—and beyond—of the fast-paced, exciting sport of wheelchair basketball!

This free event is open to everyone and is designed for those who want to move past our regular “Have-a-Go” sessions and build on their skills. Participants will get the chance to develop a deeper understanding of the game, practice key techniques, and enjoy playing in a supportive, inclusive environment.

This session also serves as an introduction for youth (ages 12–20) who are interested in competing at the 2026 BC Winter Games in Trail–Rossland. It’s a great opportunity to experience more technical aspects of the sport, take part in games, and learn how to get involved.
