The Georgetown Retail and Luxury Association is thrilled to announce that Matthew Heller, President, Americas at Loewe, will be joining us for an in-person conversation and Q&A event. The event will take place on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 5 PM to 6 PM EDT in the Lohrfink Auditorium.
In April 2023, Heller was appointed President of the Americas at Loewe Americas after several years with the Spanish luxury fashion powerhouse. Heller has more than 20 years of experience in the luxury fashion business, with tenures at brands including Gucci, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, and Bottega Veneta prior to his current role. He graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 1996.
Under Heller’s leadership, Loewe perfectly embodies a commitment to innovation paired with the elegance of the Spanish brand’s rich history. Furthermore, the ever-present question of tradition versus modernity remains alive at the Spanish fashion house that found its roots as a brand for upper class Spanish royalty. Loewe has achieved brand recognition online by collaborating with celebrities like Rihanna and collaborating with sportswear brands like On.
During the event, we will hear from Mr. Heller about his professional background; his past experience in the luxury industry; the evolution of Loewe as a brand; his vision for the future of Loewe; as well as advice for current students who are interested in forging a similar career path.
