About the Electrical Safety & Operational Reliability in Data Centers 2026

Join a full-day, hands-on event with Skanwear that brings together people working at the sharp end of electrical safety, risk management, and operational performance.

This is not a typical compliance conference. It is a space for real conversations about what actually happens in the field. The pressures, the split second decisions, and the everyday challenges faced by engineers, operations teams, and safety professionals working around live hazards.

Across keynotes, interactive panels, workshops, and field led sessions, you will hear honest insights from senior service directors, field engineers, and EHS professionals who have lived it. No theory for theory’s sake, just practical experience shared openly.

You will leave with fresh perspectives, practical ideas you can apply with your team, and stronger connections with people who understand the realities of working in high risk environments.

Donnie's Accident

On August 12, 2004, Donnie Johnson was connecting a large electrical generator in preparation for Hurricane Charlie when a meter failure caused an electrical arc and subsequent arc blast.

Donnie suffered full-thickness third-degree burns to both hands and arms, along with second- and third-degree burns to his neck and face. He spent two months in a coma following complications from his injuries, and almost two years undergoing surgeries, rehabilitation and recovery before returning to work in an office-based role.

Today, Donnie shares his experience to help others understand the real-world consequences of electrical incidents — and the importance of following established safety procedures and wearing the right PPE.

His message is simple: electrical safety isn't just about protecting yourself at work. It's about making sure you get home to the people who depend on you.
