Event Description : FSCLS 2026 Spring Symposium

FSCLS, invites you to attend its annual unique continuing education spring symposium to gain new medical information, current practices, and networking opportunities for laboratory professionals and students, and exlplore  exhibits from leaders in the clinical laboratory science industry.

Date: Friday, April 17, 2026 7:00AM - 5:00PM EST

Location: Keiser University, 5600 Lake Underhill Road, Orlando, FL 32807

 

Target Audience: Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Directors, Managers, Researchers, Supervisors, Technologists, Technicians, Phlebotomists, POCT Coordinators, other health professionals and medical laboratory students.

 

Symposium Educational Sessions Standards & Goals

The program offers CEUs that meet Florida license/biennium license renewal, including Florida Clinical Laboratory Personnel mandatory requirements for Florida license/biennium license.  When attended in full, earn at least 8 contact hours, and attend exhibits from leaders in the clinical laboratory science industry. CEUs as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E ® pending approval, meets CE Broker and FL liscensing requirements.

Mark De Luna is the Lead Medical Technologist at UF Health Emergency Center – Kanapaha in Gainesville, Florida, with over 16 years of experience within the UF Health hospital system. His career has included roles as a bench technologist, Technical Supervisor, Quality Coordinator, and Safety Officer.

He is currently in his final clinical year at Rutgers University pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Laboratory Science (DCLS), with graduation anticipated on May 19, 2026. In addition to his clinical work, Mark has served as an online Adjunct Instructor at the University of West Florida, his alma mater, and at Santa Fe College, teaching Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Basic Phlebotomy, and Coagulation.

Mark has been an active member of the Florida Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (FSCLS) since 2011 and currently serves as the ASCLS Nominations Chair, demonstrating his continued commitment to professional leadership and advocacy.
