This two-hour training provides Troopers and Detectives basics skills for seizing and submitting digital evidence for examination. Digital evidence includes; cellular phones, computers, hard drives, thumb drives, tablets, and laptops etc. Students will learn best practices for evidence collection related to electronic devices and media to insure proper scientific examination can be conducted. Handouts and search warrant templates will be provided. Students will need supervisor approval prior to signing up.
