The Best Ride is deigned to cover techniques to assist passengers in a community transportation setting.
Both courses include: Communication, Customer Service, Conflict Resolution, Understanding the Needs of your Riders, People First Language, Assisting Riders with Mobility Differences and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Best Ride WITH Securement includes Hands-on Wheelchair Securement Training. Securement only is not offered as a standalone course and the driver must complete both the classroom and in-vehicle securement practice in the same day.
*Best Ride without Securement is a 4 hour classroom course designed for drivers who are not operating a ramp or lift equipped vehicle. Drivers who need the 8 hour course will need to register for Best Ride WITH Securement Training.
