The Sacramento Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women presents the first of four FREE Financial Literacy/Economic Empowerment workshops open to ALL.   Doors open at 8:00 a.m. for Registration and Continental Breakfast.  The workshop starts at 9:00 a.m.

 

The April 6th workshop focuses on MONEY MANAGEMENT and EMPLOYMENT SUCCESS STRATEGIES as follows:

 

Money Management during times of uncertainty

 

         Your household and personal budget (housing, utilities, food, debt, etc.)

 

         Debt management- payday loans, family, credit cards, leasing/buying autos

 

         Bank accounts

 

         Identity theft

 

         Loans, credit cards, and car loans/leases

 

         When trouble appears

 

        Responding to financial emergencies

 

        Resources - Where to go for help

 

Employment

 

        Appearance, speech, gestures, etc.

 

        Resumes / cover letters / networking / social media

 

        Employment trends and dead end

 

        Interview dos and don’ts

 

        Entrepreneurship/self-employment
