Extensions and/or Parasites | Discussion

On Friday, July 10 at 20:00, as part of “12 Months,” Aleksandr Danielyan, owner and principal of DAAP Architecture Studio, together with co-founder and Principal of NST Architecture Studio Sahak Nersisyan, will host a discussion on July’s theme, “Extensions and/or Parasites.”

As we know, the devil is in the details, and in our case, it lies in the wording: “and/or.” “Extensions and Parasites” suggests an overview of the typologies of extensions and parasitic architecture. “Extensions or Parasites” opens the door to broader philosophical discussions: “Should a particular structure be considered an extension or a parasite?” or “Architectural Taxidermy: Crime or Responsibility?” and so on. Both discussion participants are, to varying degrees, engaged with both extensions and architectural taxidermy.
