The purpose of our seminar is to help parents understand how children are affected by separation and parental conflict. Seminar topics include:
- How to protect my child(ren) from parental conflict
- Improved understanding of the developmental stages of childhood related to children’s responses to separation/divorce
- How to recognize when divorce/separation is affecting my child(ren)
- How to communicate better with the other parent
- How to support their child(ren’s) relationship with the other parent
- How to get further help and access to community resources for myself or for my child(ren).
Seminar format includes tutorial, workbook and workbook exercises, video vignettes, role-playing between facilitators, small group activities, question and answer sections and information regarding resources for both parents and children. At the conclusion of the seminar, seminar participants complete a seminar evaluation and receive a certificate of completion to be filed with the court.
